Pro-Trump Quarterback Shares Special Moment With President’s Grandson
Two stars of the Miami Dolphins shared a series of heartwarming moments with the grandson of President Donald Trump, bonding over chess and football while enjoying downtime with the entire Trump family.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Braxton Berrios met up with Jared Kushner and his family during a Florida excursion, according to a set of photos shared on Instagram by a beaming proud Ivanka Trump. Her “dump” of images captured the dynamic duo playing catch with her son.
In one photograph, the eldest Joseph can be seen contemplating his next move against Tagovailoa as they sit opposite a half-full chessboard. Dolphins fans ate up the content online, where a fan account shared the image and drew nearly 200,000 views as of Monday morning.
Tagovailoa’s wife, Annah, has been an outspoken supporter of President Trump. Shortly before last year’s election, she made a post online praising the Republican candidate for his response to Hurricane Milton after it battered Florida’s west coast and left at least 35 dead. Trump at the time had traveled to hard-hit areas of the east coast, where he reprimanded FEMA officials for allegedly refusing to service his supporters.
In another post on Instagram, Annah Tagovailoa shared a video of Trump hosting 275 linemen with the state’s Department of Power and Light at his Miami resort. The residence was offered free of charge to workers as they waited out the worst of the storm before heading into the field, Fox News reported.
Tua made headlines when he suffered a devastating concussion during week two of the 2024-2025 season. A graphic video of the quarterback falling unconscious quickly circulated online and led to speculation about the health of his body and brain.
The team finished second in the AFC East with an 8-9 record.
In another family photo, Joseph is seen wearing Matthew Tkachuk’s Team USA jersey at a Panthers-Oilers game on February 27th. Tkachuk was one of the players who got into a fight with members of Team Canada at the beginning of the 4 Nations Face-Off game, and shortly after, the Canadian audience booed the American National Anthem.
Joseph, 10, is the middle child of Ivanka, who also shares with her husband Arabella Rose Kushner, 13, and Theodore James Kushner, 8. Despite maintaining her own globally recognized brand that spans books to business products, Ivanka has carved out plenty of time to be a doting mom.
She and Kushner, the president’s former envoy to the Middle East, are not expected to take such high-profile roles in Trump’s second administration. Now based in Florida, the power couple is content to practice in the private sector and largely keep their young family out of the public eye for the time being.
