Professional Wrestler Dies Suddenly After Match

All Japan Pro Wrestling has reported the passing of seasoned wrestler Yutaka Yoshie, who was 50, after a match on Sunday. The news was shared via the AJPW account on X. Yoshie was competing in the Takasaki tournament prior to his death, which occurred unexpectedly in the locker room following a sudden illness.

“After Yutaka Yoshie returned to the waiting room after the game, his condition suddenly deteriorated, and he was rushed to a hospital in Takasaki City, but he never returned home,” the post read. “We would like to remember Yutaka Yoshie’s achievements during his lifetime and pray for his soul to rest in peace.”

Yoshie was best known for his tenure in various wrestling promotions in Japan and around the world. He competed in promotions such as All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), and Pro Wrestling Noah, among others.

Yoshie, often recognized for his sizable physique and colorful ring attire, had been a popular figure in the heavyweight division, showcasing a mix of power moves and surprising agility for a man of his size.
