RACISM: Portland Art Event Allows Black People In For Free, Here’s How Much It Charges Everyone Else

In the radical left’s mission to supposedly eradicate racism from the face of the earth, they’ve actually created more of the problem. Yes, that’s right, ladies and gentlemen. The weapon of choice for liberals seeking to destroy racism is…well…racism. And if you’re wondering how that works, um, it doesn’t. It defies logic, which we already know is not a strong tool employed for use by progressives.

TheBlaze brings us a great example of this nonsense from the city of Portland, Oregon where an event being held at an art festival offered to let “black folks” in for free or for a donation of their choice, but everyone else had to pay around $80 a piece. Yeah. I don’t care how awesome of an event this was, short of a magician raising Elvis from the grave, I’m not paying $80 for a single ticket to something like this, even if it wasn’t racist.

Here’s more on this from the report:

Black Feast: Black Imagerial, a three-hour event hosted last Sunday by Salimatu Amabebe and sponsored by the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, was promoted as “a culinary event celebrating Black artists and writers through food.”

“At our table,” the event description states, “guests participate in an experience that weaves together food and art, where Salimatu [Amabebe] works with Black artists to create a multi-course, vegan, gluten-free meal based off of the artist’s work.”

While guests created their “multi-course vegan, and gluten-free meal,” they were also regaled with interpretive dance.

“With eight Black dancers and artists moving with the land, Black Imagerial recognizes Black movement as embodied image-making and visionary practice,” the description continues.

In order to keep the “black” theme for the event going, black people were allowed inside for free. The ad for the event said, “This event is free or by donation for Black folks,” going on to advise those who identify as black — so I guess if you’re white and were really desperate to be race shamed, you could say you “identify” as black — to use a promo code “blackmovement” in order to receive your free tickets.

The real question, that remains unanswered as of this writing, is how these people were able to verify the race of an individual who used the promo code, nor was it clarified if mixed race individuals were also allowed to attend the event for free.

What’s really mind-boggling is that despite the racist fee for non-black individuals to come to the event, it still managed to sell out. Well, according to the website anyway. How many people actually showed up for the event is unknown, though the capacity was supposed to be limited to 40 people.

“This meal is created as a celebration, a dance, and an offering. This meal is created for you,” the festival ad went on to say.

Notorious, and honestly quite awesome, Twitter account Libs of TikTok, first found out about the event and its racist admission charge last week.

So, there you have it, folks. The radical left is truly trying to fight fire with fire, using racism as a weapon to fight racism. And it’s just as crazy and nonsensical as it sounds.
