Rand Paul Says There Is ‘Strong Evidence’ That Fauci Committed Crimes As Biden Mulls Pardon
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) reiterated that there is “strong evidence” suggesting that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to congress when discussing the possibility of a preemptive pardon, a move that is reportedly being discussed by senior Biden aides.
On Wednesday, Politico reported that senior Biden aides were discussing the possibility of issuing preemptive pardons for members of the January 6 Committee, Russian collusion hoax architect Adam Schiff and Dr. Anthony Fauci, among others. The talks have reportedly been initiated byWhite House counsel Ed Siskel and a number of additional senior White House aides, including Chief of Staff Jeff Zients. President Biden himself — who had been intensely focused on his son’s pardon — has “not been brought into the broader pardon discussions yet.”

Several unnamed congressional Democrats have “quietly lobbied” for the pardons as well, though the potential beneficiaries have not been looped in.
In response to the reports, Paul told Fox News that he would not be surprised if Dr. Anthony Fauci, as well as President Biden himself, are on the receiving end of preemptive pardons. The Kentucky senator has twice filed criminal referrals against Fauci to the DOJ concerning alleged false statements to congress.
“I think it’s a real possibility that Anthony Fauci could get a pardon. He is at risk, I’ve referred him twice to the Department of Justice. The Biden administration has ignored it. But we have a great deal of evidence that he lied to Congress, which is a felony punishable by five years,” he said. “The proof that we have that he’s lying is from his own emails. So we have his private emails gotten by court order, and they contradict what he was saying publicly in a way such that I think we could prove that he has lied to Congress, which is a felony.”
Paul went on to say that he would be far from shocked if the president issues additional members of his family. Earlier this week, Biden pardoned his troubled son, Hunter, not only for the federal crimes he was convicted of earlier this year, but for any criminal wrongdoing within a ten-year period.
“As far as other pardons, I fully suspect the president will pardon his brother coming up too,” the Republican senator told Fox News.
“He’s protecting Hunter, who has a criminal record, a long and storied criminal record, taking $80,000 a year from a large business in Ukraine. I think also there will be a consideration of whether or not President Biden may want to pardon himself as well. So I think the Biden syndicate of making money did act illegally, and who knows, maybe the president will even pardon himself.”
