Rand Paul Takes Aim At Fauci, Chris Christie In Annual Airing Of Festivus Grievances
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) celebrated Festivus — a reference to a classic episode of Seinfeld — by airing his grievances about wasteful government spending.

“When your job is in Congress, you have a lot of people you can have grievances with. It’s almost too many to think about, so most of the year, I just don’t,” Paul wrote in an X post.
The senator’s first grievance focused on Dr. Anthony Fauci, with whom he has sparred with on multiple occasions. Paul’s “one and only wish” for the former COVID chief is that he goes to prison for crafting archaic lockdown policies that destroyed thousands of lives.
Paul aired his grievances with congress before bidding farewell to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who will be retiring early next year. “I wish my fondest farewell to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who has been run out of town for being too much of a swampy establishment critter even for Congressional leadership,” the senator wrote in a follow-up X post.
“The Gang who voted to vacate the chair also has my Holiday Greetings. I’m sure I’ll be roasting the new speaker by next Christmas but he did something no one else has done in my time here — insisted foreign aid be PAID for, something I’ve always advocated for. So cheers to that,” he continued.

Paul went on to pivot to the 2024 presidential election, asking “has anyone told [President Biden] he is running again?”
“I feel like we are all watching some sadistic reality show where the participant doesn’t know he’s in it,” he continued.
Kentucky’s junior senator did note that Biden has achieved one thing, however, in turning the southern border into a “turnstile.”
“A lot of people in the media right now need to learn what an insurrection actually is and stop worrying about a few people running around the hallways in Congress yelling,” Paul wrote.
.@POTUS does know one thing though – he absolutely will not stop until our border is just a turnstile. A lot of people in the media right now need to learn what an insurrection actually is and stop worrying about a few people running around the hallways in Congress yelling.

In reference to the Republican primary, Paul shared his favorite moments from the race after a joke about Vivek Ramaswamy. “My favorite moments in this race though have come when Chris Christie fills the TV screen, and I do mean fills,” the senator joked. “I’m watching only because I feel like at some point he and Vivek are going to wrestle WWE style and I can’t miss that.”
Nikki Haley was not spared either, as Paul asked when another member of the Cheney family arrived on the political scene. “People complain about the fact that Nikki Haley doesn’t use the name given to her at birth, but I didn’t know she was trying to hide her full neocon pedigree all these years.”

Paul has promised to air more grievances before Festivus concludes on Saturday evening.
