Rapper Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, recently launched a rather vicious attack on conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, the editor emeritus of The Daily Wire, in a tweet published Sunday afternoon, which promoted a smear shared by a left-wing activist group. West desperately needs to seek mental help. This guy has completely gone off the reservation.
The attack on Shapiro comes after Ye had dinner with former President Donald Trump last week, along with the highly controversial Nick Fuentes, who is considered to be a white supremacist and Holocaust denier. As you can probably guess, this resulted in many folks launching criticism of Trump, though he denies knowing anything about Fuentes.
“Trump has issued multiple statements since the dinner, and has claimed that he did not know who Fuentes was before he arrived at Mar-a-Lago with West. According to Trump, he was only trying to help Ye, whom he described as ‘a seriously troubled man,'” the Daily Wire reported.
Trump is absolutely right about Ye. The rap artist has had a very public struggle with his mental health, so it’s very possible he’s experiencing issues once again. He came off of his medication a few years back, so it might be time to go back on them to balance out his bipolar condition. There’s no shame in taking care of one’s mental health.
Shapiro responded to the incident by writing on Sunday morning, “A good way not to accidentally dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you don’t know is not to dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you do know.”
Ye then took a screenshot of the post and then included it along with a screenshot of a blog that was published by Media Matters, a left-wing organization that attempted to generate some fake controversy by saying that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was paying to run ads.
“As he gears up for a potential 2024 showdown with former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has enlisted a leading right-wing outlet for advertising: Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire,” the screenshot of the top of the article went on to say. “The Republican governor paid over $100,000 since last year in fundraising expenses to the site, which has aired commentary supporting DeSantis over Trump.”
Ye then posted, “Shapiro starvingly accepts $100,000 from one of my opponents then tries to trash me.”
Shapiro responded, “Sadly, you’ve trashed yourself. You didn’t need my help. It wasn’t me. It wasn’t the Jews. It was just you.”
Co-founder and co-CEO of the Daily Wire, Jeremy Boreing replied to the tweet by saying, “We’ve accepted far more than that from your opponents.”
“DeSantis has rented our lists. Trump has rented our lists,” Boreing continued. “Virtually every major Republican figure has rented our lists at some point. Stupid argument.”

Ye has absolutely no chance whatsoever of being the next president. He is clearly experiencing delusions of grandeur which is a common symptom of the manic side of bipolar disorder, which the rap artist suffers from. It’s a serious matter. It’s not a joke. What’s happening with this man is pretty serious, and if someone doesn’t intervene to help him when the inevitable crash from being manic to depressed comes, it could be devastating.
Here’s to hoping and praying Ye gets the counseling and help he needs.
