Reality is Coming: Dem Midterm Dreams Get Blown to Bits By Harsh Reality
The Democrats might think right now that they’ve averted disaster before the 2022 midterms coming up in November, somehow outfoxing Mitch McConnell in the Senate, cajoling Senator Manchin into signing a few horrible pieces of legislation, and now using “student loan forgiveness” as an outright bribe to win over voters.
We’ll see if it works. Anything is theoretically possible, even Americans being dumb enough to vote for the Team Brandon clownshow at a time when inflation is ripping their finances to bits, America has been humiliated abroad, gas prices are high enough to make you think twice about driving, and our border looks like Tijuana but without even the play-acting of a law enforcement presence.
However, assuming the American people aren’t braindead, Democrats are still probably going to be walloped because Americans recognize the cold, hard reality of what Joe Biden has done to them.
That, at least, is what Newt Gingrich said in a recent op-ed for the Daily Caller, first writing that the media is building itself up into believing that the Democrats somehow have a chance of surviving midterms, writing:
We are once again in the silly season. The elite propaganda media and its Democrat allies are convincing themselves that a dramatic turn is coming.
If you read the current breathless analysis and coverage: the Republicans have nominated weak, inadequate candidates for the Senate; recently-passed laws give Joe Biden and the Democrats “real momentum;” and the massive Democrat Party advantage in fundraising will give their candidates huge advantages in defining the election.
He then goes over case after case of both the media getting such predictions wrong in the past and why it’s going to be wrong this time, namely because of how obviously horrible and far-left their candidates are.
As an example, Gingrich says, when discussing the Senate race in Georgia:
When Sen. Raphael Warnock votes for trillions of dollars in spending in the middle of painful inflation, he shrinks the wallets and pocketbooks of every Georgian. Herschel Walker has an easy case to make: “We can’t afford Warnock and Biden,” will resonate with most Georgians.
Ending, Gingrich claims that things are much better for Republicans than the Democrats now pretend, saying:
November realities are going to be a lot friendlier to Republicans than August news media fantasies.
And that wasn’t all that Gingrich had to say on the matter of how unlikeable and generally horrible the Democrats are recently. He also ripped DeSantis’ challenger, Charlie Crist, to bits when making fun of him on the Ingraham Angle and noting how much of a flip-flopper he is, saying that Crist was once a Republican and is now a Democrat, and keeps jumping from cause to cause.
If the Dems think they can win with such losers, particularly in a year that Team Biden has made one of the worst on record for America, then Trump had a big, beautiful, very nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell them. Or, at least, that’s what Gingrich is suggesting. Do you agree?
