WATCH: Rep. Hageman Eviscerates Democrat Colleague Over ‘Conflict Of Interest’ In Trump Case

U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) went nuclear on her colleague, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), for his “conflict of interest” involving Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against former President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, Goldman bragged that he had met with disgraced lawyer Michael Cohen — a convicted perjurer and fraudster who is serving as Bragg’s “star witness” — in order to prepare him for his testimony. “I have deposed Michael Cohen. I have met with him a number of times to prepare him,” the New York Democrat said during an appearance on MSNBC.

Investigative reporter Laura Loomer later revealed that Goldman is a client of Democrat political consulting company Authentic Campaigns. Loren Merchan — the daughter of Trump trial Judge Juan Merchan — works for Authentic Campaigns and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for Democrat candidates off of the Trump prosecutions.

On Wednesday, tempers flared when Rep. Hageman zeroed in on Rep. Goldman’s connections with the Trump case during a hearing held by the House Judiciary Committee’s Special Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

“What you need to understand is that Mr. Goldman, the novice representative from New York, actually does have a personal stake in this case,” Hageman said. “He has stated that he has been involved with the Bragg case, helping to prepare Mr. Cohen for his testimony. So he is firstly aligned with an admitted and convicted liar and perjurer.”

“He’s also paid the judge, Merchan’s daughter’s firm over a hundred and fifty thousand dollars for her services. So, I think we’ve got quite a conflict of interest from Mr. Dan Goldman, the novice representative from New York,” the Wyoming congresswoman continued.

Rep. Stacey Plaskett of the Virgin Islands — the ranking Democrat on the committee — then interrupted Hageman to demand that her comments be stricken from the committee record. “I would ask that the statements regarding the conflict of interest related to Mr. Goldman be stricken down,” Plaskett said, accusing Hageman of violating a House of Representatives rule against personal attacks against other members.

Hageman replied by referring to Plaskett as “Jeffrey Epstein’s fixer,” in reference to the fact thatthe notorious sexual predator’s infamous island was located within the territory.

Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) overruled Plaskett’s request after a brief deliberation, citing numerous comments from her own testimony where she railed against former President Trump and other Republicans.

Rep. Goldman’s campaign paid Authentic Campaigns a total of  $157,000 for digital advertising, Breitbart News reported.
