REPORT: Jesse Watters Wanted Two Anti-Trump Fox Hosts Fired After 2020
Fox News host Jesse Watters had called for the firing of two anti-Trump Fox hosts following the 2020 election. According to texts obtained by The Daily Beast, Watters had messaged former Fox News star Tucker Carlson, expressing his frustration with Fox host Neil Cavuto and now-departed Fox anchor Chris Wallace.
Watters had reportedly text, “Wallace, Cavuto, and others have got to go. We need some fresh blood. They should hire some Trump people.” This comes from texts that were obtained in the now-settled defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox.
Many have long been critical of the two Fox hosts in question, particularly Chris Wallace, who they believe has a liberal bias. Watters’ calls for their firing were likely fueled by his own frustration with the network’s perceived lack of support for former President Donald Trump.
It appears Carlson shared the same feeling. Here’s a clip of Tucker talking off camera about how liberals shouldn’t work at Fox.

Watters, who is known for his outspoken support of Trump, has been a fixture on Fox News for years. He is a frequent guest on shows like “The Five” and “The Ingraham Angle” and has even had his own show on the network.
Many have long felt that Fox News has been moving away from its conservative roots and becoming more liberal in recent years. This is sure to add fuel to that fire and could lead to further calls for changes at the network. Regardless of what happens next, the fallout from the 2020 election continues to reverberate throughout the conservative media landscape. And with the 2024 election fast approaching, the battle for the soul of the GOP shows no signs of slowing down.
