REPORT: Kamala’s Marriage To ‘Dead Weight’ Husband Doug Emhoff In Limbo After Brutal Election Loss

Doug Emhoff, the lascivious former second gentleman, isn’t bringing much to the table now that the party is over, according to insiders who have spoken with Vice President Kamala Harris since she left office on Monday.

The couple, who married in 2009, has been in a 15-year partnership that is now on the rocks. Some believe Harris is furious at her hubby for costing her the election. Together, Biden and Harris beat back a bombshell story in August that Emhoff was divorced by his previous wife after having an affair with their children’s nanny, but the steady drip of bad news about the second gentleman kept coming.

In October, a former lover to Emhoff came forward alleging he violently slapped her so hard she “spun around” while they waited for a taxi outside the Cannes Film Festival. Emhoff denied the allegations through a campaign spokesperson, but Harris believes her brand was irreparably damaged by the revelation, sources say.

The term being thrown around about Emhoff is “dead weight,” they add, and his liability is part of her political calculation as she weighs another run at the White House or instead chooses to pursue the governorship of California in 2026.

“There’s plenty of blame to go around as far as Kamala is concerned and Doug has his share,” one insider told the Daily Mail. “Doug did Kamala no favors during the election – frankly, he looked like a hypocritical a** after the bombshells that he had got his child’s nanny pregnant while married to his first wife and assaulted his ex-girlfriend on the heels of his ‘I am woman’ crusade.”

Harris and Emhoff put on a united front in recent weeks. She referred to him as her “beloved” husband in public remarks, and both sat side-by-side at the funeral of Jimmy Carter and President Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremony. But those words and gestures belie that not all is “hunky dory” in Harrisland.

During the Democrat’s 2020 campaign, Emhoff left his high-flying career at a nationally recognized law firm to play the part of “wife guy” on the road, talking up the importance of reducing the “toxic masculinity” afflicting young men. In recent days, however, Emhoff has accepted another position at a New York law firm, which will likely require the couple to split time between the East Coast and their San Francisco home.

“I see the signs that all is not hunky dory in the Harris household. It’s not like she hasn’t had men help further her political career before,” the source said, referring to Harris’s relationship with former California state assembly speaker Willie Brown. “But what does Doug do for her now?”

Whether Emhoff had previously told Harris about the babysitter affair and the incident in France may have contributed to an erosion of trust. Those close to her believe Harris will pass on the race for governor, which she sees as a “thankless, no-win job” and instead ready herself for the 2028 presidential campaign, where she is already leading the field in recent polls.

“I was with her last week,” her former communications chief Ashley Etienne told DailyMail.com. “She told me: ‘You know me well enough to know that I’m not going to go away quietly.'”
