‘RINO’ Senator Under Fire For Bizarre Solo Trip To Disney World Amid Upheaval In DC

Sen. Lindsey Graham went from bubble wands to shotgun shells in a matter of hours.

The South Carolina Republican posted a photo Monday of himself breaking clays back home, just after TMZ dropped images of him at Walt Disney World—including one where he’s holding an expensive bubble wand.

“Spent some time breaking clays in Edgefield County today. Doesn’t get much better than that,” Graham wrote.

The Disney photos quickly caught fire online, landing at a politically sensitive moment. Washington remains stuck in a partial government shutdown that has dragged on for 44 days, with thousands of federal workers missing paychecks as lawmakers spar over funding for the Department of Homeland Security. At the same time, tensions tied to Iran continue to escalate.

Graham defended the trip in comments to Newsweek, saying it came after official business.

“I was invited to a lunch in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff and many others to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel. I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I got back to South Carolina on Sunday.”

“I voted seven times to fully fund the government,” he continued.

“Call a Democrat.”

The backlash was immediate.

Republican challenger Mark Lynch also went after Graham, writing, “Lindsey is at Disney World while the world burns.”

Not everyone piled on. Some online defended the senator, arguing the criticism was overblown given the stalemate in Washington.

“I don’t understand why he should give up family time when he’s ready to help end this mess if the Democrats would stop their tantrum. I think it’s unnecessary and unfair,” one X user wrote.

The episode comes as Graham has taken a hard line on the Iran conflict. During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, he voiced support for the U.S. seizing Iran’s Kharg Island, a critical node in the country’s oil network.
