Sen. Braun Shares What He Thinks Is Real Reason For Dem Allegations Against Trump

According to Sen. Mike Braun, the announcement of a lawsuit being filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James against former President Donald Trump, his adult children, and his company for fraud is nothing more than an attempt by the Democratic Party to try and provide a distraction to pull eyes away from the mounting failures of the current administration ahead of the midterms in November.

A report from Newsmax said that the Indiana Republican made an appearance on National Report, where he said, “The Democrats are going to do everything they can to distract what ought to be a platter of opportunity for us and bring it back to President Trump.”

“Braun insisted that the entire attempt appeared to be coordinated to help the chances of the Democratic Party in the November elections, as the senator tied it together with the Department of Justice investigation of the classified documents it accuses Trump of retaining illegally at his Mar-a-Lago home,” the report continued.

Braun then spoke about President Joe Biden’s speech that was made Wednesday at the United Nations General Assembly, remarking that he took issue with Biden’s statement that “whatever happens, we’re going to be the backstop.”

“That’s exactly what’s wrong with many of these engagements, especially when you got the backyard interest of the E.U. that should be shouldering it,” the Indiana senator said.

“Braun also said he had problems with some of the other commitments Biden alluded to in his speech, accusing his administration and the Democrats of ‘throwing around billions [of dollars] like it’s chump change,’” Newsmax reported.

The senator then began to ask questions about where all of the money to pay for these things comes from, especially when the policies of Biden’s administration has put the American economy in pretty serious dire straits.

“None of this kind of stuff happened in the previous administration because there was a general feeling that we would be firm. We would not tolerate some of the things that incrementally would lead to a pickle like this,” Braun said during the interview.

The Democrats are most definitely in full desperation mode right now, especially due to the poor performance of Biden and the rest of the individuals that make up his team. There’s so much ground they need to recover in order to prevent conservatives from being able to take control of the House and potentially the Senate, there’s no way to undo the damage before November.

All they can do at this point is try to make the right look bad. Weaponizing the FBI was an attempt to paint optics to look as though Trump is some sort of criminal intent on selling state secrets for his own nefarious purposes. It’s just another false narrative that the progressives in the government, working with the media, has cooked up to try and take out Trump and those who support him.

The question is whether or not these efforts are too little, too late. Polls seem to indicate that answer is a resounding yes.
