Senator Chuck Grassley Delivers Heartwarming Personal News

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced Friday that his granddaughter-in-law had obtained her U.S. citizenship after living in the country for several years.

“Very proud of my granddaughter in law Tsehay a NEW American citizen after growing up in Ethiopia,” Grassley, 91, announced in an X post. According to a prior post from the senator, Tsehay is the mother of two of the senator’s great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Skyler.

All told, Grassley has seven children and 21 grandchildren.

Conservative commentator Juanita Broderick was among those to congratulate the senator on the news. “Congratulations to Tsehay!” she said, while senior Trump Justice Department official Leo Terrell congratulated her for coming in “the legal way.”
