‘Sopranos’ Star Drea de Matteo Says She Regrets Voting For Biden: ‘I Always Loved Trump’

Drea de Matteo, a veteran actress who is best known for her starring role as Adriana La Cerva on The Sopranos, told Megyn Kelly that she regrets voting for Biden in 2020. She went on to reveal that she will likely be backing former President Donald Trump in November, adding that a Trump-Kennedy ticket would be “ideal.”

Matteo told Kelly that she voted for Biden in 2020 because she believed he could unite the country after the far-left race riots of 2020. “I never voted in my life. My daughter at that time I guess was like you know, you’re just gonna have to pick the lesser of two evils, and in my mind, I believed Trump was,” she said, adding that she had always “loved” fellow New Yorker Donald Trump.

“Under the radar, always loved him. I loved how crass he is. I just didn’t think he had the voice to unify people if the world was really on fire with this whole race issue and everything else that was going on at the time that I didn’t really, I wasn’t paying close enough attention to what was really happening, and it was all super divisive and it was all by design,” the actress continued.

De Matteo, whose acting credits include roles in Sons of Anarchy, Desperate Housewives and five seasons as a main character on The Sopranos, hinted that she may be open to supporting Trump in 2024. She also praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling him an “old school liberal” who would be a perfect running mate for the former president.

“Kennedy I feel like is the voice old school liberals would have appreciated because he cares about the environment, he’ll sue everybody that is being wronged. He’s fair, he’s classy. He doesn’t bad-mouth people. He’s got a lot going for him that Trump does not, but Trump’s got this … I mean, look,” de Matteo went on to say. At that point Kelly chimed in to say that Adriana, her character on the HBO classic, would vote for Trump.

“Adriana will vote for Trump!” de Matteo replied, confirming who she intends to support in November.

Drea de Matteo — who won an Emmy in 2004 for her role as Adriana — is far from the only Sopranos veteran who will be backing Trump in November.

Vincent Curatola — who portrayed New York mob boss Johnny Sack throughout the show’s entire run — is a longtime supporter of the former president. Curatola is also a vocal critic of President Biden on X, where he frequently shares his political views.
