Anti-Musk/Tesla Protesters Caught Using Note Cards, ‘Cheat Sheets’

on

As far-left activists mobilized across the nation for “Tesla Takedown” protests targeting company owner Elon Musk over his involvement with the Trump Administration, citizen journalists and internet sleuths raised questions about the highly coordinated nature of the “grassroots” protests.

Left-wing activists, pundits and elected Democrats urged supporters to participate in nationwide “Tesla Takedown” protests outside company dealerships over the weekend. While small groups of left-wing protesters have been protesting outside Tesla dealerships for weeks — in addition to increasing acts of violence against Tesla dealers and owners — this weekend’s protests were billed as the biggest yet.

Turnout was rather lackluster outside deep blue enclaves, however. In San Antonio, Texas — the second biggest city in the Lonestar State and one of the most populous in the nation with 1.5 million residents — less than a dozen protesters showed up to each of two planned demonstrations in the city.

Breitbart News reported that the small rabble held up anti-Musk and anti-Trump signs, most of which contained Swastikas and other Nazi imagery.  Despite the pitiful turnout, organizers and city subreddit users described it as “great” and “overwhelming.”

The story was much the same throughout the country. In Santa Fe, New Mexico, maybe two dozen protesters could be seen waving similar signs outside a Tesla dealership. “Give us a honk!” one of the protesters yelled at one driver, who responded by calling them “losers.”

X user @RealLifeFootage reported that a “scruffy band of protesters” lined up outside a Tesla dealership in his community were using note cards and “cheat sheets.” One sheet included a number of chants protesters could use, including “Elon Musk, go to Mars. We don’t want your Swastikars.”

“Elon Musk is unelected, democracy must be protected,” reads another one of the half-dozen or so colorful chants.

“The group, barely a dozen strong, seemed to fade into the background of the bustling lot, their faded hoodies and soggy cardboard posters no match for the gleaming Model Ys catching every passerby’s eye,” Real Life Footage posted on X. “Their chants, printed in huge font on crumpled papers, were clutched tightly, as if they might forget their own gripes without a script. Dealership staff barely noticed, and customers stepped around them like they were just another puddle to avoid.”

Organizers had billed Saturday’s protests as a massive, organic movement that would target 275 locations across the United States and 500 worldwide. Protests were promoted by actors, Democrat lawmakers, academics and activists as a “mass mobilizing call” over the last week, though their efforts did not yield strong results.

The protests come as acts of violence against Tesla dealerships and owners have increased nationwide. Several people have been charged with federal felonies with 20-year minimums due to the use of explosive devices, while Attorney General Pam Bondi has set up a task force to investigate organized attacks.
