Stanford University announced its 2023 Surgical Residency Intern Class earlier this month.

The new class will start their residency programs at Stanford’s School of Medicine in June 2023. The Ivy League school made the announcement on Twitter.

One Twitter user, @EndWokeness, pointed out the surprising amount of women and nonwhite individuals that are entering the prestigious school’s residency program.

“Stanford’s 2023 surgical team: 92% women (US: 50% women) 69% nonwhite (US: 38% nonwhite) 0% white men (US: 30% white men),” the Twitter user wrote, suggesting the university may be accepting candidates based off of their race or gender.

Multiple other Twitter users raised concerns about Stanford’s admissions process. “This country was built on the MERIT system….NOT the QUOTA system,” one user commented.

@Stanford does not represent the populace whatsoever. They are alienating the statistics to push agendas,” another user wrote.

Suggesting an anti-white and hypocritical narrative is present in Stanford’s admissions process, one user tweeted that those accepted into the program were most likely taught by “an experienced white male doctor” but now white men “are being excluded [from the program].”

The Biden administration has been quite supportive of racial quotas within college admissions processes. This summer, President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, lambasted anyone who opposed racial quotas.

The press secretary called anyone against racial quotas “extreme” individuals who are “ultra MAGA.”
