‘Star Wars’ Actor Michael Culver Dies At 85

In a somber announcement within the entertainment industry, Michael Culver, the esteemed British actor known for his memorable role in the iconic “Star Wars” saga, has passed away at the age of 85. Culver, whose career spanned several decades, leaves behind a legacy marked by versatility, dedication, and an impact on both stage and screen.

“We are very sad to confirm the passing of our friend and client Michael Culver,” said his agency, Alliance Agents, in a statement. Culver passed away on February 27.

“It’s been an honour to have represented Michael for the last decade and to have taken him to some of the best Star Wars events in the UK and Europe,” added his agency. “A real highlight was taking Michael to Celebration in Chicago in 2019. He was lost for words when he saw his queue line with nearly 200 people waiting to see him.

“We worked with Michael just three weeks ago at his last home signing with our friends at Elite Signatures.”

Culver’s journey in the world of acting was marked by a rich tapestry of roles that showcased his range and depth as a performer. However, it was his portrayal of Captain Needa in “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back” that endeared him to generations of fans.
