‘Take It Outside’: Jasmine Crockett Calls Nancy Mace A Child, Gets Smacked Down

Wearing a long weave and extended fake eyelashes, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) threw shade at Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) during a tense House hearing on Tuesday, delivering a biting critique that set off fireworks between the two lawmakers. The heated exchange unfolded during a debate on civil rights and transgender issues. Crockett advocated for the reinstatement of a subcommittee on civil rights and criticized what she described as fear-mongering in Mace’s rhetoric. Mace, a rising star in Republican politics, wasn’t about to let the jab go unanswered.

“Somebody’s campaign coffers are struggling right now,” Crockett jabbed, targeting Mace’s vocal opposition to transgender ideology. “So she’s going to keep saying ‘trans, trans, trans,’ so that people will feel threatened. Child, listen.” The Texas Democrat’s remark struck a nerve with Mace, 47, who fired back with her own sharp retort, refusing to let the comment slide.

“I am no child! Do not call me a child. I am no child!” Mace snapped, visibly bristling. “I am a grown woman of 47 years old… If you want to take it outside, we can.” The South Carolina representative, known for her no-nonsense approach, stood her ground as the two women clashed in a fiery back-and-forth. “I reclaim my time,” Crockett interjected at one point, as tensions boiled over and the hearing descended into chaos.

While the showdown grabbed headlines, it also highlighted the growing rift between Democrats and Republicans on hot-button issues like transgenderism. The question now is whether either lawmaker’s fiery performance will win over voters—or just deepen the partisan divide. Tuesday’s confrontation wasn’t the first or last time these two have crossed paths.

“This is how you shut Jasmine Crockett down the next time she starts in on someone’s rights – expose how she and the Left are trampling all over women’s civil rights,” Mace tweeted on X after the exchange.  “If you want to come at me for going off – yeah – here I am going the f*ck off on Jasmine Crockett to protect women, particularly rape survivors. I will always hold the line.”

“Nancy Mace loves the “uneducated” as Trump calls them,” Crockett responded on X. “Please explain to me how the same damn Karen that called Cap Police on a child who shook her hand wanted to act like she wanted to fight me?! ME… the same person who has represented real killers in court. She’s an attention seeking loser who clearly has some fundraising goals to hit… and to be clear that is the only thing that she will hit… SN: Republicans incite violence from the highest levels of government & ALSO claim to be the party of law & order. The two cannot be true! Do yourself a favor, decide to require better of your electeds. Last I checked, threatening members in a committee room doesn’t exactly reduce the cost of eggs.”

In November, Mace introduced a resolution to restrict the use of bathrooms in the U.S. Capitol based on “biological sex.” This coincided with the election of Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first “transgender” member of Congress. Mace confirmed that her proposal specifically targeted McBride, expressing her opposition to transgender women using women’s restrooms in the Capitol.
