Taylor Swift Faces New Scandal After Foo Fighters Founder Hits Her With Major Allegation

The lead singer of the Foo Fighters has made a shocking allegation, pitting his band’s show up against the global tour de force known as Taylor Swift.

Dave Grohl, who has led the band throughout its storied 30-year career, appeared to throw a sharp elbow at the “Bad Blood” singer over the weekend, telling a legion of fans at his latest show that Swift might be relying on prerecorded songs and other safety measures to run a pitch-perfect concert.

“I’ll tell you what, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl joked midway through a concert in London on Saturday. So we like to call our tour ‘The Errors Tour.’

“We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f****** errors as well. Just a couple,” Grohl told the audience according to the Daily Caller. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.”

The advent of computerized music and implementation of safety nets during live shows has irked many musicians for years who say today’s throng of charting singers aren’t taking enough risk in their live shows. Swift’s “Eras” tour has become an unmistakable flashpoint in that debate: over two years, the 34-year-old is traversing the globe while performing a blistering 152 three-hour shows. The flashy sets, frequent costume changes, and pyrotechnics have drawn scorn from peers who are familiar with Swift’s icy responses, but Grohl is not counted among them.

However, he is also an admitted fan of Swift’s undeniable songwriting skills. The Caller spotlighted a 2015 interview with the BCC where the Foo Fighters frontman paid homage to Swift during a performance of “Congregation,” which he said was inspired by her hometown of Nashville. “I’m officially obsessed. She might want to get a restraining order because I’m all about Swift,” Grohl said at the U.K. music festival, the BBC reported. “To my opening band, Taylor Swift. Taylor and the Swifts.”

Fans of live music never miss an opportunity to call out the entertainment industry for auto-tuning its way to soulless perfection. In February, singer Alicia Keys hit a sour note while performing at the Super Bowl which was later edited out of the program, Us Weekly reported. Swift herself suffered a wardrobe malfunction on stage in May which became known only through the viral video taken by one fan on the floor that night.
