‘THE NEW MOSES’: Actor Jim Caviezel Touts Another Trump Term On Fox
Actor Jim Caviezel has a new title for former President Donald Trump following his full-throated support for the anti-trafficking message in his movie “Sound of Freedom.”
“He’s the new Moses,” said Caviezel during a Fox News appearance alongside fellow actor Eduardo Verástegui. “I mean I’m still Jesus, but he’s the new Moses,” throwing in a reference to his sublime performance as Jesus Christ in the 2004 epic “Passion of the Christ.”
The devout Christian actor spoke about his time with President Trump during a screening earlier this week when the Republican leader said he learned a great deal from “Sound of Freedom” and extolled Caviezel, Verástegui, and former Homeland Security official Tim Ballard for their surprise summer blockbuster.
“He’s gotta be in there, because he’s going to go after the traffickers,” added Caviezel in reference to President Trump’s bid to return to the White House next year.

Since its release on the Fourth of July, “Sound of Freedom” has proven that conservative Americans will flock to theaters for an inspirational film with a message about fighting modern-day evils like child sex trafficking. Mel Gibson, a devout Christian himself and former director of “Passion of the Christ,” implored his social media followers to see the movie this summer, calling human trafficking “the most disturbing problem in our world today.”
During a private screening with Caviezel and others, President Trump praised the Washington State-born actor and said Verástegui may have a future role as President of Mexico, his home nation. He touted Caviezel’s ability to rouse conservative audiences and offered him up to the crowd for future successful movie franchises.
According to the U.S. State Department, approximately 7.6 million individuals at any given time are caught up in a web of human trafficking that stretches around the globe and is equated to modern-day slavery, with bad actors seeking trafficked victims for everything from sex to forced labor. The United States is not exempt from the problem: between 14,500 to 17,500 victims pass through this country every year, according to the ACLU. Approximately 200,000 American children live in conditions that are ripe for exploitation and are part of 1.2 million children around the world who live under similarly horrible conditions.
