This Gun Company CEO Just Stood Up for Gun Owners, Wrecked Soft on Crime Democrats

Some gun company CEOs have, in the wake of leftist outcry against them and the products their companies produce following recent mass shooting, decided to bend the knee and go along with Democrat calls for more gun control, background checks, etc.

The CEO of famed AR-15 maker Daniel Defense and the CEO of Ruger, an American gun maker with a storied history, for example, recently appeared before Congress for a hearing and rankled many gun owners by playing along with the leftist lawmakers on the committee, even if they pushed back on some of what those lawmakers said.

But one CEO did what gun owners everywhere wanted him to do and refused to attend the absurd hearing on cracking down on our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. That would be Mark Smith, the CEO of Smith and Wesson.

And not only did Mr. Smith refuse to attend the hearing, but he also went on the offense against those pushing for more gun control, ripping them for attacking the rights of law-abiding gun owners while pushing for a “culture of lawlessness” within America.

Speaking on that in a blistering statement in which he tore into those sorts of hypocritical politicians and gun-grabbing hacks, Mr. Smith said:

Some have had the audacity to suggest that after they have vilified, undermined and defunded law enforcement for years, supported prosecutors who refuse to hold criminals accountable for their actions … and generally promoted a culture of lawlessness, Smith & Wesson and other firearm manufacturers are somehow responsible for the crime wave that has predictably resulted from these destructive policies.

Continuing, he went on to blast the attempts to blame gun manufacturers because of the advertising they use to market their wares, saying

free hat

To suppress the truth, some now seek to prohibit firearm manufacturers and supporters of the Second Amendment from advertising products in a manner designed to remind law-abiding citizens that they have a Constitutional right to bear arms in defense of themselves and their families.”

Still that wasn’t all. Continuing and not holding back a bit, Mr. Smith proudly emphasized how Smith and Wesson’s manufacturing helps Americans defend themselves and keep their families safe from the predations of those criminals soft on crime Democrats have been putting back on the streets, saying:

“To be clear, a Smith & Wesson firearm has never broken into a home; a Smith & Wesson firearm has never assaulted a woman out for a late-night run in the city; a Smith & Wesson firearm has never carjacked an unsuspecting driver stopped at a traffic light. Instead, Smith & Wesson provides these citizens with the means to protect themselves and their families.

Now that’s a wonderful statement, just the sort of thing that gun owners and gun manufacturers should say when fighting back against the demented demands and pushes of the gun grabbers.
