According to TMZ, Lisa Marie Presley was not only taking extreme weight loss pills which caused her to lose 50 pounds in a matter of weeks leading up to her death, but she had also begun abusing opioids once again.

Family sources told TMZ that Presley had begun taking opioids again – an addiction she had long struggled with. Presley was known to have struggled emotionally over the suicide of her only son in 2020.

The singer/songwriter allegedly got plastic surgery and also started taking extreme weight loss pills in the weeks leading up to her death. Sources tell TMZ that Presley lost between 40 to 50 pounds in the 6 weeks leading up to the Golden Globe Awards.

Lisa’s appearance in two interviews during the Golden Globes raised concerns as she appeared emaciated, slurred her speech, and was unsteady, requiring support from a friend while speaking.

TMZ plans to present a documentary, “TMZ Investigates: Lisa Marie Presley: Unending Tragedy,” uncovering new information about Lisa’s passing, potential custody disputes and financial battles. The doc will air on FOX at 8 PM tonight, January 30th.
