BREAKING: Videos Show Rumored Twitter CEO Spewing Woke Ideologies
Elon Musk’s new potential successor for the role of Twitter CEO is facing scrutiny for past positions and statements that appear to put her at odds with Musk and his more provocative, generally conservative leanings.
Linda Yaccarino, who on Friday left her position as ad sales chief for NBCUniversal, has touted her efforts to “fight social justice and equity” at Comcast, saying the company “thought they were doing enough” to bring diverse representation to the company, “but clearly we weren’t.”
In one clip, recorded just months after the death of George Floyd, Yaccarino boasts of a $100 million fund set aside by Comcast to “direct funds to the right organizations” while “confronting editorial bias” in its NBC news division by ensuring all reporters were comprised of “50 percent women and 50 percent people of color.”
WATCH:
On Thursday, Musk hinted that he is close to appointing a successor and said “she will be starting in ~6 weeks,” and a source told the Washington Post that Musk and Yaccarino are in advanced talks about the position. The move comes months after Musk said he would abide by the results of a Twitter poll showing a majority of users supported him stepping down from the CEO position.
As more attention is drawn to Yaccarino, expect a slow drip of past statements to go viral. In another instance, social media users found her posting about “masking up or packing up,” a statement she made encouraging followers to wear masks during the Covid-19 pandemic. A large segment of Musk’s followers have been supportive of his skepticism around containment measures during the pandemic.

So far Yaccarino has refused to comment, and Twitter’s press team is sending reporters the poop emoji when asked about her potential hiring. Given Musk’s high-profile stature on social media and willingness to listen to feedback from users, it is expected that any pressure on Musk to rescind Yaccarino’s job offer will be duly noted.
