‘TOTAL FAILURE’: MTG Torches Secret Service Over Inconclusive Cocaine Probe

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) lit into the Secret Service on Thursday following the conclusion of its investigation into cocaine found at the White House without implicating any member of the Biden administration.

Rep. Greene, speaking with reporters in a scrum following a classified briefing on the matter for members of Congress, cited the hypocrisy of Americans going through routine drug tests as part of their employment with the ability for leaders in the nation’s capital to walk freely through top-secret security clearance with hard drugs.

“American citizens every single day go through drug tests. That’s part of their employment for their jobs. This is a common practice. Just speaking wit the Secret Service now, my question to them was, they were able to narrow down a list of approximately 500 people… have they drug tested this list of 500 potential suspects that brought an illegal substance, cocaine, into the White House? Their answer was no, and they were unwilling to do so.

“It makes no sense to me why they wouldn’t follow through on one simple task and that is to drug test a list of potential suspects for this when the American people every single day go through drug tests in order to do a job,” Rep. Green said.

The Secret Service has been investigating cocaine found in the White House during the 4th of July weekend shortly after Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden who has struggled publicly with addiction, was on the premises. Video of the Biden son acting strangely on a balcony next to his father had viewers wondering whether the drugs in question belonged to him, and if so, how Hunter Biden could have gotten access to a top-secret area of the West Wing normally reserved for national security personnel.

Republicans have salivated at any opportunity to tie President Biden to his son since Hunter Biden’s recent guilty plea on tax fraud and weapons charges, a development which has left the president personally furious about perceived attacks on his family. Former President Donald Trump, the top contender to take on the incumbent next year, accused the elder Biden of being involved in a cocaine coverup while the House Oversight Committee launched a full probe. Officially, the White House is staying mum with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre calling it “shameful” for reporters to cover the situation and suggest members of the Biden family were involved.
