Trump 2028? Donald Trump Jr. Won’t Rule Out Presidential Run

While acting as a top surrogate for his father during the Iowa Caucuses Monday, Donald Trump Jr., joined by his fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle, addressed the caucus-goers in Ankney, Iowa. When asked about his own future political prospects, he wouldn’t rule out a presidential run.

The eldest son of former President Donald J. Trump and host of ‘Triggered’ told voters there that outlets reporting his father’s insurmountable polling lead at that time were seeking to “suppress the vote,” according to The Daily Mail. But by far the most exciting moment came when a voter asked Trump, Jr. about his own career.

When asked if he held aspirations for his own run for the White House in 2028 he reacted laughing, “Oh God,” turning to Guilfoyle he asked, “Hey princess, you ready for this?” The former prosecutor-turned-news personality smiled and replied “Let’s go Iowa,” from the back of the room.

“I don’t want to say no because then if you decide to do it, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, he’s a major liar,'” Trump, Jr. joked.

“You know, people, the reality is this, like, I never needed this. Right? But I believe in it.” he added according to RawStory. The 46-year-old real-estate developer whose role as spokesman for his father has taken over much of his professional life explained that as a boy he would spend summers in Czechoslovakia with his mother who had “escaped” from communism, but sent him back to see its effects.

“You know, I got it, so I’m an unlikely person to understand these things, but just sort of by dumb luck, it fell into there. So, you know, I’ve become pretty passionate about it,” he said.

He observed that it would’ve been easier to stay a real estate developer going to “cool parties” in New York City rather than joining his father’s campaigns but added, “You know, once you take this stance, they’ll go after you that way.”

“So, I guess the answer is I will continue to fight no matter what. The question is, do you want the day job of actually doing it when I look at some of these morons in Congress?”

While not ruling out his own presidential run someday, Trump, Jr. did speculate that he is more capable of helping the conservative cause as a private citizen. “I almost feel like I can do more outside of that. I don’t have to play by the rules,” he told supporters, before getting a jab in at the current first son. “Again, I’m not Hunter Biden. I actually have to play by the rules.”
