Trump Admin Locates 13,000 Missing Kids Lost by Biden Admin: ‘Children Being Saved’
More than 320,000 children were lost by the Biden administration amid a historic influx of illegal immigrants that overwhelmed the country’s ability to manage its borders.
Now, at least 13,000 of those kids have been located by the Trump administration, a promising sign that they will be reunited with their parents after years on their own or under the protection of dangerous individuals.
Whereabouts of the missing children were astonishing in some cases: U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials reported arresting a Guatemalan national wanted for homicide in Newark after he was found to be the sponsor of a missing child.
The man Adelso Garcia Martinez, 29, was arrested on May 13.
“It is deplorable to imagine that a wanted fugitive would find illegal shelter in the United States with a child in tow and later go on to sponsor another alien,” ICE HSI Newark Special Agent in Charge Ricky Patel said after the arrest.
Months before the 2024 election, Biden officials acknowledged they had lost track of more than 320,000 children as they tried to manage a humanitarian crisis at the southern border. Up to 12 million illegal immigrants arrived into the United States by some estimates, many of whom were offered expanded asylum protections or paroled with court dates as far away as nine years.
Those missing children are just the ones who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border, the shocking report stated.

In a rush to find suitable living conditions for them, officials admitted to poorly vetting some of the individuals who came forward to sponsor many of the children.
In February, President Donald Trump’s U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced it was launching an investigation into the missing kids while warning that some may have ended up living with sexual predators or fugitives on the lam for violent crimes back in their home countries.
“Children are being saved,” a Trump administration official told the NY Post about the nationwide effort.
One of the worst abuses saw a 15-year-old girl impregnated by an Ecuadoran man who then convinced his mother to sponsor the girl so she could stay with them, DHS revealed. The man had allegedly abused the girl since she was 13 when they traveled across the country’s southern border together, officials said.
New York authorities arrested the predator on May 28 near his home in Harlem.
In total, 442 sponsors have so far been arrested after being found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for their arrest, a source with U.S. Health and Human Services told NewsNation.
“By leaving our borders open and even encouraging people to come here illegally, Biden enabled the largest human-trafficking operation in modern history,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement to the outlet on Friday.
“We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to eradicate human trafficking operations targeting the United States. Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, and working together at every level of government, we can win this fight. And we will,” she added.
