Trump Celebrates Eliminating Liz Cheney

Former President Donald Trump took to Social media on Tuesday to celebrate the Republican primary victory of Harriet Hageman over incumbent Liz Cheney in Wyoming’s at-large seat in congress.

Since being removed from House GOP leadership last year, Cheney has now become undoubtedly the Republican Party’s greatest fierce critic of Trump. She is one of only two Republicans on the House review panel trying to investigate the events surrounding the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her great and very decisive WIN in Wyoming,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This is a wonderful result for America and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs. Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now. Thank you WYOMING!

On Tuesday, Cheney gave a concession speech in which she admitted that had she won her primary, she “would have been required that I follow along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election.

Cheney added, “As we meet today, there are Republican gubernatorial candidates who deny the outcome of the 2020 election and who may refuse to certify future elections if they oppose the outcomes.” “We have candidates for secretary of state who may refuse to report the popular vote results in future elections. And we have candidates for Congress, including here in Wyoming, who refuse to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election and suggest that states decertify their results. Our nation is barreling once again towards crisis, lawlessness, and violence. No American should support election deniers for any position of genuine responsibility where their refusal to follow the rule of law will corrupt our future.” Talk about being a sore loser!

In a follow-up post, Trump addressed Cheney’s concession speech, labeling it “uninspiring” and mocking the size of her crowd.

Liz Cheney’s uninspiring concession speech, in front of a ‘tiny’ crowd in the Great State of Wyoming, focused on her belief that the 2020 Presidential Election was not, despite massive and conclusive evidence to the contrary, Rigged & Stolen. It was, and that’s not even counting the fact that many election changes, in numerous States, were not approved by State Legislatures, an absolute must. Liz Cheney is a fool who played right into the hands of those who want to destroy our Country!

I assume that with the very big Liz Cheney loss, far bigger than had ever been anticipated, the January 6th Committee of political Hacks and Thugs will quickly begin the beautiful process of DISSOLUTION?” Trump continued. “This was a referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt. The will of the people has been expressed!

On Tuesday, Cheney vowed to do all in her power to prevent a second term for Trump if the latter decides to run for president in 2024, as is widely anticipated but not yet officially stated.
