Donald Trump Jr., President Donald Trump’s oldest son, announced on Monday announced his engagement to Palm Beach socialite and model Bettina Anderson during a festive Christmas reception at the White House.

The joyful revelation came when President Donald Trump invited the couple to the podium to share a few words with guests. Trump Jr. spoke first, saying, “I’m not usually at a loss for words, because I’m usually doing the ranting and raving really well.”

He humorously thanked Anderson “for that one word: ‘Yes,'” adding, “When you go down there, it’s like, you’re gonna go, and you’re trying to ask, and you’re not sure what the answer’s gonna be. It’s always a little bit rough. But she said yes, which is a big win for the end of the year.”

Anderson then stepped up to the microphone to thank the president and First Lady Melania Trump for the White House hospitality. She also took time to marvel at the First Lady’s Christmas decorations.

“Wow, what a privilege it is to be here at the White House, Mr. President, thank you so much for hosting this incredible party, and to our First Lady, these decorations, am I right, aren’t they unbelievable?” she said. “This has been the most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you.”

The couple’s relationship began in mid-2024, with initial sightings in August 2024 at a Palm Beach brunch. They made appearances together at events like Anderson’s birthday dinner in December 2024, the Trump family’s New Year’s Eve at Mar-a-Lago, and the presidential inauguration in January 2025.

By the time of the engagement announcement, they had been dating for approximately one year.

Trump Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 until the couple split in 2018. The former couple shares five children: Kai, Donald John III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.

Following the divorce, he began a high-profile relationship with former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle in 2018. They announced their engagement in 2020 and purchased a home together, but amicably parted ways in 2024

Anderson, 39, hails from a prominent Florida family. Her late father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., was a banker who became the youngest U.S. bank president at age 26.

She graduated from Columbia University in 2009 with a degree in art history, has worked in modeling and influencing and co-founded The Paradise Fund, a nonprofit focused on disaster relief and conservation.
