JUST IN: Trump Gets Massive Campaign News After Kamala’s Disastrous Fox Interview

A poll conducted by Fox News and released shortly after Bret Baier’s bruising interview with Vice President Kamala Harris shows former President Donald Trump starting to extend his lead over her nationally.

Newsweek reported on results from the poll, conducted from October 11 to 14, showing a 4-point swing has taken place since last month when Fox reported a 2-point lead for Harris. After speaking with 1,110 registered voters and 870 likely voters, pollsters found that Trump has now taken the 2-point lead among likely voters, 50-48%, with less than three weeks before Election Day. Newsweek cautioned that the result is within the poll’s 3-point margin of error, but still very good news for the former president.

The result also comes less than a day after Vice President Harris finally faced the music in a sit-down interview with Fox’s Baier where he grilled her on everything from the Biden-Harris administration’s lenient immigration policies to her past support for gender-affirming care for felony inmates. Harris appeared uncomfortable at first before finally growing frustrated with Baier. Much of the contentious 20-minute interview involved both host and guest trying to talk over one another.

Cross-tabs within Fox’s latest poll reveal where President Trump is gaining ground among the electorate. White voters, already leaning toward Trump for much of the year, now favor him by a 10-point margin, up from 4 points in September and 6 points in August. He now garners 49% support among senior voters over 65, an all-time high in that demographic, as well as 48% among Americans with a four-year college degree. Conversely, Harris is bleeding support from staples of the Democratic Party’s base: support from Black voters has dropped to 67%, a painful reminder that she will lose the election unless her campaign can turn around its image, especially with Black men.

“Overall, the movement toward Trump is subtle but potentially consequential, especially if he is making gains among college-educated voters,” said Democratic pollster Chris Anderson, who conducts Fox News surveys with Republican Daron Shaw. “However, the race has been well within the margin of error for three months and the outcome will likely hinge on which side is more effective at getting their voters to the polls as opposed to persuasion.”

Two-thirds of voters for both candidates say they are “enthusiastic” about their support, but it’s President Trump’s genuine appeal to his supporters that stands out – 80% say they are voting for the Republican compared to just 18% saying they are voting “against” Harris; conversely, about one-third of Harris voters say they are only backing her to stop Trump from returning to the White House.

Fox’s national poll aligns with recent swing-state surveys showing President Trump outpacing Harris in key battlegrounds. Top forecaster Nate Silver recently reported that 19 states have swung in Trump’s favor: among them is the must-win Pennsylvania where Harris staffers have gone public with their complaints that lackluster campaign management is putting their Philadelphia operation in jeopardy.
