Trump Goes Scorched Earth: Announces Lawsuit Against Journalist Who Released Unauthorized Tapes
Donald Trump has entered full attack mode on one member in the media who released unauthorized tapes of him by announcing a MASSIVE lawsuit…
The lawsuit which was filed by Donald Trump’s attorney’s is an attempt to sue the notorious journalist Bob Woodward for allegedly releasing a handful of tapes during an interview that Donald Trump did not authorize.
This just proves never to mess with Donald Trump and not only that but Trump and his attorney’s are suing Woodward and his publishing company Simon & Schuster for a whopping $49 million dollars.
Bloomberg reports that lawsuit accuses Woodward and his publisher of publishing an audiobook that contained his interviews with Donald Trump.
“This case centers on Mr. Woodward’s systematic usurpation, manipulation, and exploitation of audio of President Trump gathered in connection with a series of interviews conducted by Mr. Woodward,” Trump’s legal team claims in the lawsuit complaint.
“Said audio was protected material, subject to various limitations on use and distribution—as a matter of copyright, license, contract, basic principles of the publishing industry, and core values of fairness and consent,” their complaint went on to say.
Trump’s lawsuit and legal team show in the lawsuit that the former President consented to the interview for it to be used in a book but never intended on the recordings of the interview itself to be leaked.
Simon & Schuster recently published this inflammatory piece entitled “The Trump Tapes: Bob Woodward’s Twenty Interviews with President Donald Trump” on January 17, 2023.
The titan publishing company marketed the book and audiobook as an “inside” account of Donald Trump’s time in the Oval Office.
Liberal elites have praised the book despite the unethical origins, CNN reporter Jake Tapper praised the book calling it “an uncharacteristic warning from one of the most respected, non-partisan journalists in the world.”
If you recognize the name Bob Woodward, it is probably from his notable work as an investigative journalist for the Washington Post where he first broke the Watergate scandal. His work on those accounts ultimately led to the resignation of Richard Nixon in 1974.
It is clear that Woodward is merely attempting to strike fame twice by releasing these tapes despite not having authorization from Donald J. Trump. Someone who is unlikely to go down without a fight…
