JUST IN: FAA Restricts Airspace Near Trump’s Golf Course Due To Mysterious Drone Activity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed Tuesday that it has issued two flight restrictions following suspicious drone activity in the area of Trump’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.
On November 18, the FAA first received reports of drone activity within Morris County, the border of which lies about two miles north of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Somerset County, according to a report from Fox News. After requests from “federal security partners,” the agency issued two temporary flight restrictions, or TFRs, for the state. Mysterious drone sightings have continued into this week in Central New Jersey.
One TFR applies to an area near Solberg-Hunterdon County Airport that contains airspace near Trump Bedminister. Flights are also banned over Picatinny Arsenal, a major U.S. Army hub in Dover, New Jersey, which primarily focuses on research and development via its CCDCAC armaments center.

The ban will remain in place for the Trump Bedminster area throughout the rest of the week, while the restriction over the Picatinny Arsenal will remain in effect through December 26.
“Safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System is a key priority for the FAA,” the agency said in a statement Tuesday.
“We look into all reports of unauthorized drone operations and investigate when appropriate,” the statement added.
On Tuesday, the FBI issued a joint statement with the New Jersey State Police and the State Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness asking for information related to “the recent sightings of possible drones flying in several areas along the Raritan River.”
“Witnesses have spotted the cluster of what look to be drones and a possible fixed-wing aircraft,” FBI spokesperson Amy Thoreson said. “We have reports from the public and law enforcement dating back several weeks.”
The bureau is also investigating sightings of “fixed-wing aircraft” flying over central New Jersey.
Morris County Sheriff James Gannon told New Jersey Patch there is “no advisable immediate danger to the public at this time” and asked the public to provide investigators with clear photos of the drones.
The drone sightings in New Jersey come as unidentified drones have been spotted flying over British-American joint bases in the United Kingdom. “Swarms of small drones” have been seen over Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Fairford and RAF Feltwell in England,” Fox News reported. Some of these installations house F-15 and F-35 fighter jets.
On November 26, a Pentagon spokesman announced that the drones did not have any adverse effect on the base’s buildings, personnel or assets. The British military has dispatched additional security assets around the bases in response to the sightings.
