As the conflict in (Redacted) escalates, many across Europe are shocked to learn that Donald Trump, a man they regarded incredibly cruel, was right to warn that Europe’s dependence on Russia for energy would destroy the continent’s way of life.
Russia said on Wednesday that it would stop sending gas to Germany through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for three days. German officials claim they have little choice but to “believe” that the country can cope with the drop in natural gas supplies.
“I assume that we will be able to cope with it,” Klaus Mueller, the head of Germany’s network supervisory authority, told Reuters after the declaration. “I trust that Russia will return to 20% on Saturday, but no one can really say.”
A German hearing that would immediately begin knitting an extra-thick Wintermantel. The question now is why German officials chose to ignore Trump’s warnings.
When America’s 45th president lambasted Germany and its energy partnership with Russia at the United Nations four years ago, the country’s leaders, especially in Germany, laughed out loud.
Instead, Germany has decided to pursue green energy after hearing from people like Greta Thunberg, a girl who climate change charlatans have totally indoctrinated.
“Germany will become totally dependent on Russian energy if it does not immediately change course,” Trump said before the U.N. in 2018. “Here in the Western Hemisphere, we are committed to maintaining our independence from the encroachment of expansionist foreign powers,” he added
“NowThis,” a left-leaning Twitter account asserted at the time that “Trump made some outrageous claims about German energy at the UN — and the German delegation’s reaction was priceless.”
Further, Trump said that Germany was “totally controlled by Russia” due to its reliance on Russian energy.

Rebutting Trump, Angela Merkel, Germany’s former chancellor, said, “I wanted to say that, because of current events, I have witnessed this myself, that the Soviet Union controlled a part of Germany. And I am very happy that we are today unified in freedom as the Federal Republic of Germany.”
Although her country lacked consistent sources of fuel, Merkel insisted that Germany was a free nation.
Also, Merkel lauded Thunberg for her climate advocacy and her call for students to skip Friday class. Germany has committed to a green energy nirvana and has begun shutting down its coal facilities by 2020. They planned to rely on Russia in the meanwhile.
In July of 2022, Germany restarted coal facilities since renewable energy sources were not yet operational.
Trump’s statements at the U.N. were not outrageous, despite what the Left claimed. Indeed, their predictions came true.
The German people are currently experiencing record-high energy prices before the winter season has even begun.
“This is not normal at all. It’s incredibly volatile,” Fabian Rønningen, a senior associate at Rystad Energy, said about high energy costs all through Germany on Tuesday. “These prices are reaching levels now that we thought we would never see.”
While Europeans may not have expected such high prices, those who advocate for a comprehensive approach to energy that takes advantage of both fossil fuels and renewables while also ensuring the country’s continued autonomy from external energy suppliers did.
The election of Donald Trump as president has caused global insanity. Instead of examining their own frailties, leaders instead sought advice from young people. The consequences on their people are now being felt.
