Trump Takes Aim At Fani Willis And ‘Her Lover’ Nathan Wade: ‘He Had Experience In Something Else’
While addressing supporters in Richmond, Virginia, former President Donald Trump took aim at Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her case that appears to be on the verge of falling apart.
Judge Scott McAffee is currently deciding whether to disqualify Willis’ office from her own RICO indictment of Trump and his associates due to the nature of her relationship with Nathan Wade, who was hired as a special investigator for the case. Both Wade and Willis have testified that their relationship began after Wade was hired, though a former employee testified that the two were romantically involved as far back as 2020.
Willis is also accused of misappropriating state funds by paying Wade — with whom she went on several lavish vacations that were paid for in cash — more than other investigators on the case.
On Saturday, former President Trump mocked Willis and “her lover” as the case circles the drain.
“I was indicted by Fani in Georgia… her lover, Nathan Wade, and they hired him for almost a million dollars because of his great, great experience,” Trump said.
“Of course, he didn’t have any experience. He had experience in something else,” Trump said while making a pounding motion. “And at that, I’m sure he was very good because she called him more than 2,000 times.”
