Trump Taps Beloved MAGA Operative For Powerful Role
President Donald Trump will appoint Dan Scavino, a diehard MAGA operative currently serving as his White House deputy chief of staff, to lead the Presidential Personnel Office. This role will grant him the authority to determine who can and cannot serve within the administration.
“Dan Scavino is one of President Trump’s most trusted and longest serving advisors,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said of Scavino’s new appointment. “There is nobody better to ensure the president’s administration is staffed with the most qualified, competent, and America First-driven workers. There is much still to be done and Dan’s leadership will ensure the highest quality, most dedicated workforce ever.”
Scavino will replace Sergio Gor, who will be moving on to serve as an ambassador to India and as a special envoy for South and Central Asian affairs. Gor became a favorite of President Trump’s for taking a zero-tolerance policy when it came to hiring job-seekers who had been critical of the president on social media and otherwise.

However, his hardcore stance and aggressive approach to blocking such individuals from being hired earned him his fair share of critics. One such individual is billionaire SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who ripped into Gor by calling him a “snake.” Musk also accused Gor of talking the president into pulling the nomination of one of his confidants to serve as the head of NASA.
“Scavino is one of Trump’s closest advisers, dating back to the first administration where he served in a variety of different communications roles. In the West Wing, Scavino occupies one of the closest offices to the Oval Office, serving as one of the most influential players in the MAGA movement,” Politico reported.
Many within the MAGA movement were hoping that Trump would appoint Laura Loomer, another prominent Trump supporter, to the role that was given to Scavino. Loomer, in an interview with Politico, said she would consider it an “honor” to serve in the administration if offered a position.
Unfortunately, reports have indicated that White House officials are skeptical of hiring her due to her intense bomb-throwing tactics and the potential impact on the administration’s daily operations.
Other influencers, however, are absolutely thrilled to see Scavino placed in such an important position. They view Scavino as a sort of sentinel, helping to protect the administration from infiltration by those who would betray President Trump and potentially sabotage the MAGA agenda.
