WH Smacks Down Angry Pop Star After Using Her Song In Video Showing Deportations

The White House isn’t backing down after singer Sabrina Carpenter accused the Trump administration of hijacking her music for an immigration enforcement video.

Carpenter blasted the clip, which featured her hit “Juno” over footage of apparent ICE raids, calling it “evil and disgusting.” She posted on X: “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

The administration fired back through spokesperson Abigail Jackson, who told Fox News Digital: “Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”

The dust-up started after the official White House account posted the video on X. The caption, riffing on Carpenter’s lyrics, said: “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye,” with a waving emoji and heart-eyes emoji.

Fans rushed to defend the singer, with one user writing, “Proud to support an artist who uses her platform to support vulnerable, marginalized and demonized groups of people with her voice and charitable efforts.”

Another fan referenced pop star Olivia Rodrigo, commenting: “[Sabrina] and Olivia … are on right side of the history … i hate to break it to y’all but our new generation popstars are braver and vocal about social issues than old popstars.” Rodrigo recently accused the administration of using her music without permission to promote deportations.

Carpenter wasn’t just praised. Some users applauded the White House and slammed her criticism. One commenter wrote: “The job of the government is to put Americans first. It’s not inhumane for those who don’t belong here to go home. Americans should prioritize Americans and the government should prioritize Americans. That’s all there is to it.”

Another critic dragged up one of Carpenter’s own controversies: “You used a Catholic Church to film a music video laden with sexual innuendo, and then defended yourself by claiming ‘Jesus was a Carpenter too’. You have no right to call things evil or disgusting.”
