BREAKING: Trump Addresses The Nation After Strikes On Iranian Nuclear Sites

President Donald Trump delivered a White House address on the strikes against Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday night, in which he stated that the regime’s nuclear capabilities had been completely wiped out.

“A short time ago, the U.S. military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise,” Trump said while flanked by Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror. Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a-lot easier.”

The president further warned that additional attacks on Iran will commence if they retaliate with strikes on U.S. bases in the region. “There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” he said. “If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill.”

Elsewhere in the roughly four-minute speech, the president praised God and asked him to watch over the U.S. military as bases around the region prepare for likely retaliatory strikes. “And I want to just thank everybody and in particular God. I want to just say we love you God and we love our great military. Protect them.” Trump said.

“God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America.”

The president announced earlier Saturday night that the U.S. has launched strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Esfahan and Fordow. Israel had previously launched extensive strikes on the prior two sites, though the Israeli military lacked the bunker buster munitions required to strike Fordow, which is buried deep underground in the side of the mountain.

According to a report from Fox News, the U.S. launched six bunker buster bombs on the Fordow site, while 30 tomahawk missiles wrecked launched by submarines at the Natanz and Esfahan locations.

Prior to the strikes, the Trump Administration told Tehran that the assault was intended to be limited in nature and would not be followed up by additional attacks unless U.S. bases in the region were struck. Iran has vowed to strike U.S. bases in the region, while additional military installations in Iraq and Syria are bracing for expected attacks from Iranian proxies.

“This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.

The United States will now be pointing all its intelligence-gathering assets toward determining the level of damage at Iran’s Fordow nuclear site, a retired US general told CNN. “You can anticipate that every intelligence-gathering asset that the United States has, from satellite to communications intelligence to human intelligence, is now focused at least on Fordow to make sure that they have an accurate reading of what damage has been done to that site. And if there’s going to be a need for attack or re-attack,” retired Brigadier  General Mark Kimmitt told the outlet.

Iranian state media has claimed that the targeted nuclear sites had been evacuated ahead of time.

This is a developing story.
