Trump’s Pick For NFL MVP Is Revealed
President-elect Donald Trump isn’t shying away from making headlines as he reveals his pick for the NFL MVP. The announcement, delivered during a conversation with Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser at his Mar-a-Lago estate, has sparked buzz across the sports world.
The discussion, part of a broader conversation that included public safety in the District and potential deals regarding the RFK stadium site, saw Trump laud Daniels’ exceptional debut season.
“I’m not gonna talk about any specifics about [the] RFK [stadium site],” Bowser said according to News4. “It came up, like, on a very high level in conversation … He was well-aware of Jayden Daniels and why he should be the rookie of the year and possibly the MVP.”
Following Trump’s election in 2016, Bowser made a trip to Trump Tower in New York for a meeting with the then-President-elect. Early in 2017, she had another meeting with him in the Oval Office. Thus, it followed a common pattern that Bowser, like many others, traveled to Florida to meet with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate after his electoral victory.
Daniels, who has led the Commanders to an impressive 11-5 record in his first NFL season, has dazzled fans. Completing 69.4% of his passes for 3,530 yards, 25 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions, the young quarterback has shown poise beyond his years. His athleticism and decision-making have been key to Washington’s success, reigniting excitement in a fanbase eager for a resurgence. Daniels’ stellar season also earned him a spot in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games announced on Thursday.

As the NFL regular season nears its end in early 2025, the MVP race is heating up, with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen leading the pack. With odds fluctuating between -300 and -500 at various sports books, Allen’s stellar performances have been crucial to the Bills’ dominance. Close on his heels is Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose odds range from +225 to +350, thanks to his explosive play that has kept the Ravens competitive.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, a rare non-quarterback in the race, has also made a strong case for himself with odds between +1400 and +1600, bolstered by his remarkable rushing achievements. Additionally, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, with odds from +1600 to +2500, and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, whose odds are between +8000 and +10000, remain in the MVP conversation due to their noteworthy performances despite being considered underdogs.
For Daniels, the current betting odds are set at +20000. This means if you place a $10 bet on him and he wins, you would receive a total payout of $2,010. While maybe not the MVP, Jayden Daniels is the clear frontrunner in the race for the Offensive Rookie of the Year as a massive favorite. Raiders Tight End Brock Bowers follows as a distant contender, with odds listed at +2200.
