In a recent interview with tech journalist Kara Swisher, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) voiced her concerns about the possibility of being jailed if former President Donald Trump were to be re-elected. Reflecting on Trump’s previous campaign rhetoric, especially the “lock her up” chants directed at Hillary Clinton, AOC suggested that Trump might target other political figures, including herself, in a similar manner.
AOC remarked, “I mean, it sounds nuts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail… He’s out of his mind. I mean, he did his whole first campaign around ‘lock her up.’ This is his motto.” She continued to explain her apprehensions, stating, “I take him at his word when he says that he’s going to round up people. I take him at his word when he threatens journalists. I take him at his word.”
AOC further commented on her perception of Trump’s intentions, saying, “I feel like what we saw in his first presidency was an amuse-bouche to what his intentions are. He has learned from his mistakes of appointing professionals, and he will not make that mistake next time.”
These comments stem from AOC’s belief that Trump might pursue retaliatory actions against his political opponents, despite Trump having not explicitly stated plans to imprison random Democrats. In contrast, Trump has mentioned the potential for investigations into the Biden family’s dealings but has also suggested that pursuing such actions could lead to a damaging cycle of political retribution, potentially harming U.S. democracy.
“It has to stop, because otherwise, we’re not going to have a country,” Trump said about lawfare in America.
“Look, when this election is over, based on what they’ve done, I would have every right to go after them, and it’s easy, because it’s Joe Biden and you see all the criminality, all of the money that’s going into the family and him, all of this money from China, from Russia, from Ukraine,” the former president said.
During the interview with Swisher, AOC and the host also took time to attack Elon Musk and X, formerly Twitter.
AOC and full-time Elon troll Kara Swisher go on rant about @elonmusk and 𝕏: "I think when it comes to Elon, [X] is like such a transparent play for validation of ego.”
Clearly, a free speech platform really bothers them.

“They liked the old Twitter where the Censorship Industrial Complex suppressed people and information they don’t like,” popular commentator Western Lensman wrote. “They liked when the lies and hoaxes of the left and their legacy media propagandists weren’t continually debunked.”
“Thus, they don’t like X.”
