Turkish Lawmaker Suffers Heart Attack Seconds After Anti-Israel Speech
Hasan Bitmez, the deputy head of Turkey’s Islamist Saadet (Felicity) Party, suffered a severe health incident during a session of the Turkish Parliament. While delivering a speech criticizing the government’s policy on Israel’s actions in Gaza, Bitmez collapsed at the podium.
In his speech, he accused Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians, and criticized his government for supporting Israel, stating that the government “has contributed to every bomb dropped by Israel.”
Bitmez, 53, experienced a heart stoppage in the Parliament but was revived through medical intervention according to Ynetnews.
WATCH:
Bitmez is diabetic and later received two stents in his heart arteries after an angiography at a local hospital. The incident has sparked various reactions, including some lawmakers from the Justice and Development (AK) Party, led by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, attributing Bitmez’s health issue to “God’s wrath.”
Erdogan himself has been vocal in his criticism of Israel, accusing it of committing “war crimes” in Gaza and supporting Hamas, which he does not consider a terrorist organization.

Karma got him or Jesus; either way, they shut him up.
Maybe he will think twice next time before saying things he shouldn’t be.
