Hasan Bitmez, the deputy head of Turkey’s Islamist Saadet (Felicity) Party, suffered a severe health incident during a session of the Turkish Parliament. While delivering a speech criticizing the government’s policy on Israel’s actions in Gaza, Bitmez collapsed at the podium.

In his speech, he accused Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians, and criticized his government for supporting Israel, stating that the government “has contributed to every bomb dropped by Israel.”
