US Air Force Scrambles to Send Three Planes to Confront Chinese Spy Balloon Over Montana
On Thursday, a Chinese spy balloon was spotted over Montana.
“US detects suspected Chinese surveillance balloon hovering over northern U.S. for days,” reported Upward News.
The Pentagon released the following statement: “The United States government has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now.”
“The balloon was spotted over Billings, Montana, on Wednesday. A senior defense official says the balloon is still over the U.S. but declined to say where it is now,” NBC reported. The spy balloon is the size of three school buses.
Defense officials are discussing whether or not to shoot it out of the sky.
