VIDEO: Pro-Trump PAC Releases Scathing Ad Highlighting James Talarico’s Bizarre Statements

President Donald Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC recently unveiled a $10 million ad campaign highlighting Texas Democratic Party U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico’s bizarre statements on transgenderism, religion and more.

The 30-second ad begins with a narrator saying, “James Talarico is weird. Very weird.” It then highlights a number of statements Talarico has made over the years in podcast appearances, town hall events and on the floor of the Texas state house.

“There are many more than two biological sexes… in fact, there are six,” Talarico said during an April 2021 hearing before the Texas House Public Education Committee. “Jesus Christ himself was a radical feminist,” the nominee said in a separate appearance before the congregation at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on October 2, 2022.

Additional clips of Talarico’s bizarre statements include him stating that “God is non-binary,” on the floor of the Texas state house and “I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity,” during a March 2021 podcast appearance.”

“Six sexes? Jesus a radical feminist? A Christian who hates Christianity?” the narrator then states following the montage. “Liberal weirdo James Talarico; too loco for Texas.”

That buy is only the opening installment of a much larger pro-Paxton spending blitz from MAGA inc and other Republican PACs.

Through August 24, Talarico had spent about $25 million on television and digital ads to Paxton’s less than $1 million. AdImpact counted Democratic Party spending at $30.3 million and Republican spending at $5.1 million from May 27 through August 31.

After Trump said he was coming to Texas to help Paxton, the script flipped. The Houston Chronicle reported more than $100 million in mostly negative ads against Talarico from five GOP-aligned committees, with another $5 million expected from Elon Musk’s America PAC. AdImpact later put money spent and reserved from September 1 through Election Day at about $102.5 million for Republicans and $27.3 million for Democrats.

MAGA Inc. followed its initial $10 million outlay with further Texas spending that later filings put near $25 million, while the Lone Star Liberty PAC launched a separate $15 million buy.

The largest check has come from Senate leadership. A super PAC tied to Majority Leader John Thune’s Senate Leadership Fund booked at least $32 million in early September, and by September 22, the Texas Tribune reported the leadership-aligned Texas PAC was raising its commitment to $100 million.

Combined Republican bookings have given Paxton’s side roughly a 5-to-1 fall advertising edge.

The money is chasing a deficit Paxton has not closed in available polling averages. RealClearPolling’s mid-September average had Talarico at 47.6 percent and Paxton at 45.0, a deficit that falls within the margin of error in most recent polls, though Paxton has consistently trailed.

President Trump has stressed that turnout is crucial to Republicans holding the Senate.”I’m asking you to pretend that I’m on the ballot — I’m on the ballot — just one more time. Because if we lose, you’re going to lose your border, you’re going to lose your tax cuts, you’re going to lose your safety and security, you’re going to lose your wealth,” the president told supporters during last month’s midterm convention.
