On Wednesday, a man known as “Billboard Chris” was attacked in Portland while traveling with his message of opposition to gender ideology. Chris travels the country with mobile billboards that advocate for children’s freedom to be themselves, without being indoctrinated to believe they were born in the wrong body.
While on campus at Portland State University, Chris was attacked by a cyclist, who proceded to take his phone and throw it on the ground. Political commentator Savanah Hernandez said Chris had already been attacked three times up to that point.

Chris shared a statement from Portland State, claiming that university officials acknowledged that they could not legally stop the individuals from “sharing their opinions.” However, they emphasized that ignoring them and not giving them the reaction they wanted was the best course of action to avoid further polarization.
