WATCH: Alvin Bragg’s Star Witness Michael Cohen Humiliated After Bizarre Post

In the ongoing saga surrounding former President Donald Trump, his erstwhile attorney Michael Cohen has taken to live-streaming on the TikTok platform to share insights and solicit donations, leaving audiences both bemused and concerned.

Michael Cohen, once a close confidante of Donald Trump, now appears in the digital arena, gesturing for ‘hearts’ and collecting ‘awards’ from viewers. The spectacle unfolded as Cohen engaged in detailed discussions about Trump and various legal intricacies related to commercial properties and ongoing judicial proceedings. In recent streams, Cohen has been seen explaining the potential sale of commercial assets, such as parking garages, in the context of legal battles.

The live streams have also captured moments of frustration directed at the judicial process. At one point, Cohen mentioned a judge “messing with the rule,” suggesting a personal grievance with how legal proceedings are being handled.

In a statement to ABC News on Monday, Cohen announced he would refrain from discussing Trump and “this matter.”

“I am not the defendant in this criminal matter and am not the subject of Judge Merchan’s gag order. Donald is,” Cohen explained to ABC News. “Nevertheless, I elected, out of respect to the court and the prosecutors, to cease commenting on Trump and this matter; which I have done.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is gearing up for Michael Cohen to testify in the ongoing hush money trial, potentially any day now. Cohen has been a key witness since 2018, detailing some of the most incriminating actions associated with Trump. His testimonies have covered topics such as the inflation of the Trump Organization’s real estate portfolio to secure bank loans, alleged conspiracies with Russia, and the orchestration of hush money payments to women who claimed to have had encounters with Trump before the 2016 election.

However, Cohen’s activity online could pose a significant challenge for the prosecution. Critics contend that Cohen’s turn to live streaming and his method of engagement depicts a fall from grace for the lawyer who once walked the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The transformation from a respected attorney to a social media personality soliciting donations does little to restore his tarnished reputation.

“I’d be furious,” stated Chris Timmons, an ABC News contributor and former Georgia prosecutor. “As a prosecutor, the last thing you want your witness to do is to be talking about the case in a forum other than the courtroom.” Jeremy Saland, a defense attorney and former member of the Manhattan district attorney’s office now prosecuting the case, conveyed to ABC News that Cohen’s behavior likely serves to aid Trump’s defense.

“I have no doubt that Team Trump is scrutinizing and listening and watching whatever they can, and they are rightfully going to weaponize it in a court of law to tear down his credibility,” Saland noted. “If I’m the prosecution, I’m on the phone right now saying, ‘Stop what you are doing — right now,'” Saland continued.

“I can’t make you, but you need to stop for your own sake because it’s going to get worse for you in that courtroom. And you are compromising the case.”
