WATCH: AOC Melts Down Over Trump’s Bold New Plans, Shares Absurd Conspiracy

New York City Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has issued a response to the claims President Donald Trump made on Tuesday concerning a potential U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip, pushing a conspiracy theory along the way.

“It is horrific. It is the definition of ‘ethnic cleansing.’ It is part of the culmination of–what I view–to be genocide of the Palestinian people. This is genuinely one of the most horrific humanitarian catastrophes…in modern history,” AOC said, according to The Daily Caller.

Tuesday, the President announced the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip in order to finally end the conflict raging between Israel and the radical Islamic terrorist organization Hamas.

Trump stood beside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an East Room presser after the two met in the Oval Office to discuss the next steps for Palestine and Israel. During the briefing, Trump said the Gaza Strip was an “unlucky place for a long time,” adding that it’s been a “symbol of death and destruction for so many decades.”

Later during the event, Trump stated the area would “have peace,” saying the only reason that Palestinians want to go back is because they lack an alternative.

“They’re living under fallen concrete that’s very dangerous and very precarious. They instead can occupy all of a beautiful area with homes and safety, and they can live out their lives in peace and harmony instead of having to go back and do it again,” Trump continued. “The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too.”

“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site, and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area, do a real job, do something different. Just can’t go back,” Trump explained.

“If you go back, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years,” the president added.

After 15 months of intense and highly destructive combat, both Israel and Hamas finally reached a ceasefire agreement on Jan. 15, though it’s only temporary. A few days later, on Jan. 19, the first three Israeli hostages were released. A total of 33 captives are expected to be released by Hamas over the course of the next six weeks, a report from CBS News revealed.

AOC also recently made news when she took an opportunity to insult the intelligence of billionaire SpaceX head Elon Musk, who is currently heading up the Department of Government Efficiency.
