WATCH: Bannon Unleashes On McCarthy’s Debt Ceiling Deal, Predicts ‘Dumpster Fire’ By 2025
During a fiery segment on Wednesday, former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon condemned House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s debt ceiling deal, dubbing it a “dumpster fire” for America.
The debt ceiling deal, he argued, is a strategic ploy by the Biden administration to solidify its radical policies and limit the capacity for future conservative leadership to implement change.
“By January 2025, President Trump and his potential return is going to have a dumpster fire with very limited, limited ability to do much. Not going to have tax cuts, no possibility of tax cuts. You’re going to have a very, very limited [capability]. And that’s what they want. They want to lock in all of the radical Biden regime, which is Obama’s third term,” Bannon declared.
According to Bannon, the deal is about much more than just debt. “That’s why right now, everything about yourself and self-reliance, you’ve got to hunker down on,” he said. Bannon advocated for a renewed focus on financial independence as a countermeasure to the government’s fiscal irresponsibility.
He slammed the government’s economic policy, saying, “I can’t understand how they run these deficits, have the Federal Reserve funded by printing money and the rest of the world is revolting against that.”
Bannon lamented the lack of national conversation about the country’s finances, its spending, balance sheet, and the role of the Federal Reserve. “We would actually have a discussion of why we have gone from a republic now to an empire and have a deep meaningful discussion with the left, with the centers and with the right, what this country needs from the people talking about it,” he stated.
The deal has faced opposition from both ends of the political spectrum, and there is controversy over a perceived agreement between McCarthy and hardline Republicans who have the power to block legislation they don’t approve of.
Bannon warned that the government’s decision to push the debt issue past the election into 2025 demonstrates a profound contempt for the American people. He urged the public to reject the narratives being pushed by the media and to seek out information from reputable sources like Heritage, Club for Growth, Freedom Works, Nancy Mace, and Byron Donaldson.
Bannon encouraged constituents, particularly those in red districts, to directly challenge their representatives who support the debt ceiling deal. “If you vote yes for this, I will make sure that you’re primaried. I will make sure you lose and I will make sure that you’re signing your political death warrant today when you vote yes on this,” he asserted.
Bannon’s alarming warning echoes the concerns of many conservatives who are deeply worried about the direction of America’s fiscal policy. It remains to be seen if Bannon’s words will resonate with politicians and whether they can influence the trajectory of the debt ceiling debate.
