WATCH: Biden Snaps, Curses At Reporters After Question About Trump

The final days of the Biden administration are being pockmarked by the president’s lashing out at reporters as he gripes about his tarnished legacy and reflects on what might have been.

During an unguarded interaction with reporters on Sunday, President Joe Biden scornfully rebuked one individual who asked him if he still believes President-elect Donald Trump still represents a “threat to democracy,” a charge he hefted for most of the past year. An exasperated Biden, having received no recognition by the media for signing an expansion of Social Security benefits at the White House event, snapped sharply, “My being the oldest president, I know more world leaders than any one of you have ever met in your whole goddamn life!”

Social media users chided the Democrat for using his remaining time in office to air grievances instead of leaving with dignity. Fox News highlighted some of the most notable responses, including from Redstate writer Bonchie. “This is Washington credentialism in a nutshell. Politicians become ‘qualified’ by simply existing. It doesn’t matter that Biden is an abject failure and the worst foreign policy figure in American history. You see, he knows a lot of people, and that’s all that matters,” Bonchie wrote.

CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings quipped, “The most civil, decent, and devoutly Catholic president we’ve ever had.” “He’s fine guys,” journalist Salena Zito joked. Conservative communicator Steve Guest commented, “What a bitter person.”

It remains to be seen whether Biden’s caustic condemnation of the American media will be his last in office. The president has two weeks to outdo himself and build on earlier squabbles with reporters, which have become a hallmark of sorts for his administration. When Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked if it’s fair for Americans to be concerned about his age, Biden shouted back how “stupid” it was for Doocy to ask that question. He previously apologized to Doocy for calling him a “stupid son of a b****” during a 2022 press conference, according to the outlet. Even on friendly turf like MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Biden has quibbled with his portrayal; shortly after his debate against President-elect Donald Trump, the 81-year-old appeared to snap at host Mika Brzezinski after she called him the party’s “presumptive nominee.”

“I’m more than presumptive, I’m gonna be the Democratic nominee,” Biden immediately said during his crisis interview. Less than a month later, he ceded the party’s mantle to Vice President Kamala Harris.
