WATCH: Christopher Steele Squirms While Conservative Host Shreds Him For Trump-Russia Dossier
The long-debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative, once wielded as a weapon against President Donald Trump and his supporters, continues to haunt those who pushed it. One of the chief architects of the infamous Steele dossier, former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, found himself in the hot seat during a fiery segment on Uncensored with Piers Morgan, where he was confronted by conservative panelist Natalie Winters.
Steele, who played a pivotal role in pushing the discredited allegations that Trump was compromised by Russia, appeared visibly uncomfortable as Winters eviscerated him over his involvement in what many now see as one of the biggest political hoaxes in modern history.
“Well, I know Christopher Steele probably wanted to go down in history as someone that colluded with the Clinton campaign to take down President Donald J. Trump, but I really think that you represent probably the ultimate grifter in the American political space,” Winters began, pulling no punches.
“For you to even come on here, obviously you’re trying to sabotage what President Trump is doing when it comes to Russia and Ukraine.” Winters then hammered Steele for his dossier’s role in launching a series of baseless investigations, including the weaponization of the FISA courts against Trump associates.
“To sit here, what is it, nearly a decade after you tried to smear President Trump as a Russian asset, to then say, ‘Well, I think he’s a Russian asset,’ even though I’m really good at my job and create all these intelligence reports—it’s just sort of a feeling that I have. I’m sorry. What stones do you even have left to turn over to try to corroborate your claim?”

Steele, appearing rattled, attempted to interject, but Winters continued to lay out the damage his false reporting had caused. “You weaponized FISA courts, surveillance warrants, not just domestic spy agencies, but international spy agencies.”
“The American people would really appreciate it if you would stop injecting your efforts to curtail and totally tank the America First movement by smearing anyone who doesn’t want to get involved in forever wars or continue the needless and ceaseless dying in Ukraine and in Russia,” Winters leveled.
Steele, a former MI6 officer, gained notoriety for compiling the infamous dossier that alleged links between then-candidate Donald Trump and Russia. The document, funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), was used to justify FBI surveillance against Trump associates.
Over time, multiple claims in the dossier were debunked, leading to criticism that it was a politically motivated attempt to damage Trump’s presidency. Steele has defended his work, arguing that his intelligence-gathering methods were sound, but even the FBI later admitted that key parts of the dossier were unreliable.
Winters pivoted to the topic of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, which Steele’s allies in the intelligence community initially dismissed as Russian disinformation.
“When those 51 people that I’m sure that you know all too well—you were probably likely involved with the drafting of that letter—said that was Russian disinformation, well, it turned out that was true. And shame on you for the last decade trying to inject the idea that smearing President Trump as a Russian asset is somehow going to take the MAGA movement down.”
Steele, looking flustered, tried to defend himself. “My response is that I’m a professional intelligence officer, an expert on that part of the world. I’m not a politician.”
But Winters immediately fired back: “Was the Hunter Biden hard drive Russian disinformation?”
Morgan, eventually sensing the conversation spiraling out of control, tried to wrap things up. “I think everyone’s had their say about Christopher Steele,” he interjected. “Christopher Steele, thank you for joining us. I appreciate it.”
With that, Steele made his exit, but the damage was already done.
