WATCH: CNN Calls Biden Out For Multiple Lies, Including Fake Ground Zero Appearance After 9/11
The mainstream media is beginning to sour on President Joe Biden’s numerous embellishments, sparked most recently by an outlandish claim that he visited Ground Zero just one day after the 9/11 attacks.
CNN hosts on Tuesday fact-checked the president one day after he gave a speech in Anchorage, Alaska claiming he rushed to pay his respects at the site of the United States’ worst terrorist attack in history.
“Never forget, never forget, we never forget. Each of us, each of those precious lives stolen too soon, when evil attacked,” Biden said. “Ground zero in New York – I remember standing there the next day, looking at the building, and I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell. It looked so devastating because of the way you – from where you could stand.”
Biden — who was serving in the U.S. Senate at the time — was not in New York on September 12, 2001, as the Senate met in Washington D.C. to condemn the attacks.
In an overly generous summation, one CNN reporter stated, “He’s sort of told some stories that don’t quite line up.”
“This president has a pattern at this point of either inventing or embellishing stories about his own past,” said the other, referencing a speech President Biden gave last month where he lied three times. Among the most egregious include witnessing the 2022 collapse of a bridge in Pittsburgh, claiming his grandfather died days before he was born, and inventing a conversation he had with an Amtrak train conductor who was dead at the time Biden referenced.

There are even more serious falsehoods, the reporter goes on, describing Biden’s claim that he was arrested at a civil rights protest; he used to drive an 18-wheeler long-haul truck; and visited the Pittsburgh synagogue where worshippers were killed in a 2018 mass shooting. None of these things occurred.
“Whatever his intentions, whether it’s a foggy memory, stuff that [went on] decades ago or deliberate embellishment, this is unfortunately a pattern that keeps coming up again and again,” he concludes.
Other false claims by President Biden include his son Beau dying in Iraq when the firstborn actually died stateside at Walter Reed Memorial Hospital from brain cancer. During the 2023 State of the Union, Biden asserted that fast food workers are being forced to sign noncompete agreements, drawing audible boos from Republicans below his podium.
