WATCH: CNN Panel Lashes Out When Confronted With Epstein Hypocrisy
An entire panel of left-wing CNN contributors lost their minds when confronted with the simple fact that none of them ever demanded the release of the so-called Epstein “client list” until they thought they could use it as a political talking point against President Donald Trump.
Democrats have pounced on the confusing messaging coming from the White House on the Jeffrey Epstein case over the past week. After Attorney General Pam Bondi released binders titled “Epstein Files: Phase One,” earlier this year, controversy erupted after the binders failed to contain relevant information that was not already known.
The situation expanded when a DOJ memo stated that Epstein did indeed kill himself in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019, while also detailing that a supposed “client list” had not been found. Trump has since taken steps to clear up the confusion, including ordering Bondi to petition for the release of grand jury transcripts from the case, which was done on Friday.
Still, Democrat lawmakers and pundits, the overwhelming majority of whom had never mentioned the Epstein case before, have attempted to politicize the issue by demanding the release of a “client list” that doesn’t even exist. This was pointed out by veteran Republican strategist Pete Seat, who sparred with a panel filled with left-wing political commentators and host Abby Phillip on CNN’s “Saturday Morning Table For Five.”
“The victims here, let’s not forget about that. They should get justice. And as I think about this particular scandal, honestly, I was surprised it came up. I didn’t expect to have this implode the way it did,” one panelist said before claiming that Trump’s “most diehard” supporters were the most enraged. “It really pisses me off,” added left-wing comedian Pete Dominick.
“So then what did the Biden administration do to get justice for the victims?” Seat chimed in, at which point the entire panel erupted into a tantrum. What followed was a solid 30 seconds of inaudible screeching, with panelists accusing Seat of lacking empathy for victims of Epstein’s crimes despite their own silence on the issue.
“For four years… just ignore and gloss over the fact that your president, Democratic president, you know, Biden,” Seat said before Dominick interrupted him to baselessly assert that Trump was “best friends” with Jeffrey Epstein, despite the fact that Trump banned him from his Mar-A-Lago club years before his conduct came to light after he inappropriately approached a young girl.
After the interruptions continued for another few seconds, the Republican strategist agreed that justice for the victims is a priority of his before again asking why former President Biden did nothing. “But can you admit that you only care because Trump is in office?” Seat followed up after the commotion died down.
Predictably, the screeching once again ensued, with Dominick yelling “don’t even answer that.” Phillip then falsely claimed that Trump made Epstein disclosure a top agenda item, even though it never appeared in his official agenda 47 platform or a list of his top 20 campaign promises.
In addition to the grand jury testimony, Trump has called on Bondi to release any “credible” information on Epstein that does not implicate innocent people. The Department of Justice has a long standing policy to not name people who are victims or have not been accused of a crime.
