WATCH: CPAC Attendees Start Singing ‘God Bless The USA’ Awaiting Trump’s Appearance

In an amazing display of patriotism, attendees of CPAC broke out in singing “God Bless The USA” by Lee Greenwood while standing in a line that stretched across the convention hallway.

Those in line were assembling to wait to enter the main convention ballroom multiple hours ahead of former President Donald Trump being expected to speak.

At the 2022 CPAC, the artist who wrote “God Bless The USA,” Lee Greenwood, become the third ever individual to be inducted into the CPAC Hall of Fame. Greenwood’s hit song, written in 1983, has become one of the most recognizable patriotic songs in American history. Greenwood, after being nominated to sit on the National Endowment to the Arts Council by President George W. Bush, served on the council under four U.S. presidents.

When presenting Greenwood his award, Matt Schlapp, the chairman of CPAC, said “there is no one more patriotic and deserving than Lee Greenwood and his American ballad ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’”

A straw poll held at CPAC this weekend found that former President Donald Trump is crushing GOP primary competitors as f the 2024 campaign season gets underway. “President Donald Trump won a massive 62% of the vote while Ron DeSantis only won 20%. The other 20% was divided amongst Perry Johnson, Nikki Haley, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and others,” Trending Politics News recently reported.
